On April 13 and 14, QS World MBA Tour Shanghai and Beijing were held one after another. Zhejiang University's International Business School (ZIBS) was featured, along with more than 40 MBA programs from world-renowned business schools. ZIBS was represented by Joshua Kobb, Vice dean of ZIBS, and several admissions specialists from the school. They had face-to-face dialogue with local students to provide guidance for those intending to apply for MBA programs.

QS World MBA Tour is a worldwide MBA education exhibition, visiting more than 100 cities around the world every year. Attendees engage in face-to-face dialogue with well-known business schools, admission briefings, GMAC official lectures, one-on-one interviews and elite MBA alumni experience-sharing held throughout the exhibition. At the Shanghai and Beijing events, 40 top business schools, including Cambridge Judge Business School, ZIBS’s partner and one of the world's top 5 business schools, participated. Alumni from Harvard University, UCLA-Anderson and other top MBA schools were present to share their experience.

Two heads from the iMBA program team introduced the structure and benefits of the ZIBS iMBA program, and    provided details and advice on the application process to many of the potential candidates.

Students who inquired about the ZIBS iMBA program represented diverse learning and working experiences, and most of them were ambitious professionals with strong academic qualifications. An increasing number of students, especially those with master's degrees in majors other than management, are keen on acquiring cutting-edge management knowledge. They hope to broaden their horizons and gain global perspective, while building their abilities to address strategic business challenges. An MBA program provides the skills to manage more effectively, and to expand leadership potential.

According to Vice Dean Kobb, the program appealed to so many students because of several factors. Firstly, Zhejiang University is one of the best universities in China, and it is also a top 100 university with international prestige.  Zhejiang Province and Yangtze River Delta, where Zhejiang University is located, is a hub of economic growth and innovation, as well as the center of best management practice in China. Secondly, students benefit from the research and teaching excellence of Zhejiang University, along with its network of leading academics and business professionals from around the world. Through cross-border and education programs, students have a chance to enjoy the opportunity to attend globalized classes outside of China. Thirdly, academic and industry experts from all over the world enrich the curriculum, providing unique opportunities for students to gain practical insights during their studies.

In addition to close interaction with students, the iMBA program team also communicated with peers from other business schools, discussing trends and strengthening networks. Increasingly, more and more top business schools around the world are focusing on Asian students, and they also expect to have more in-depth exchanges and cooperation with top MBA programs.

The ZIBS iMBA program is dedicated to training senior managers and future business leaders with interdisciplinary vision and cross-cultural business skills to adapt to the new global economic era. At present, 50 Chinese students for the first iMBA program of ZIBS have already been enrolled and enrollment for international students is well underway.
